Tour program From Naples to Positano
Our tour starts at 0800h from Naples, where our professional english speaking driver will be waiting on you either at your hotel, or the port to whisk you down the Amalfi coast by way of the Sorrentine Penninsula. After about an hours drive we will reach the spectacular stretch of road that connects Sorrento to the Amalfi Coast. We will take a quick foto stop here for the breathtaking view!
Afetr about another 10 drive – we will reach Positano, here you will have a free hour just to take in Positano and have a wander about the narrow streets. We suggest you head down towards the sea – wandering between the local shops selling hand made cermaics and sandals. Once you make it to “Marina Grande” treat yourself to a lovely limoncello or granita ice drink made with fresh lemon juice.
Meeting back with your driver at the pre determined point – we will then head to Sorrento for the wine tasting part of our day.
Wine Tasting in Sorrento
Our wine tasting starts off in a bar run by a professional sommelier- who will let you try some of the best wines that this area has to offer. Each wine will be twinned with a local dish to try and your sommelier will explain the origins of the wine. Some of the wines that you will be offered to try are Lacryma Christi il Fiano, L’aglianico, & il Taurasi.
We will then head out for the last part of our tour – Pompei
Our driver will leave drop you off at the entrance of the ruins – here you will then have 2 hours free time to wander among the ancient ruins & experience the most important archeological site in all of Italy.
As the site is far vaster than many realize – our recommendation is that you ore book a guided tour – thus ensuring that you manage to see the most important areas within your two hour visit – you will then get a wonderfully graphic picture painted about that fateful day in 79Ad.
If however you do decide to go it alone – make sure to head for;
Apollos temple, Fauno’s house, the amphitheater and the streets that once housed the workshops of the time.
At the end of your visit your driver will be awaiting to accompany you back to Naples either to your hotel or back to the port to rejoin your ship.
