CASERTA ROYAL PALACE
The Lombards probably founded Caserta in the 8th century: they chose the peak of Monte Tifata, where there was a Roman emplacement. From the 12th century on, the town enlarged and reached the plains.What gave importance and fame to Caserta was the construction of Bourbons’ Royal Palace.
