Your Private Gastronomic Tour begins with your pivate driver guide greeting you at your hotel Your Driver Guide will take you up one of the hills on the Sorrentine Peninsula where you can see rows of olives and lemon trees before arriving at the olive oil factory. Extra virgin olive oil was born in an old oil mill located in the hills of Sorrento Italy, a land traditionally devoted to the cultivation of olives. Since 1849 the factory we are visiting is dedicated to the production of the best Italian olive oil. For more than a century, history has changed the technology, but what remains unchanged is passion they devote to their oil and the quality of their products. Among the most significant productions of the company they have many varieties and have won many awards for their culinary properties and health. After discovering the many types and flavours of olive oil your Private Driver Guide will take you to a local family wine cellar where you can learn the whole process of wine making.
The local wine cellar we will be visiting has been producing various types of wine for years. To be exact, the cellar dates back to the second half of the last century, During the Nineties, in Sorrento and Positano, little restaurateurs bought it unlabelled to serve it as their own wine. In 1996, the cellar started to produce wine to send to the whole of Campania region. After the demonstration, there will be a tasting of various wines with some delicious Bruschetta, Salami, Cheese, Olives and Tarallucci. Your Private Gastronomic Tour will continue on to a farm where they produce Mozzarella Cheese On route your Driver Guide will stop at a couple of scenic spots, one being the Peninsula point where you can see both Naples bay and Amalfi Coast and the other, top of Sorrento
The farm we visit on the Gastronimic Tour produce the famous Provolone del Monaco D.O.P. and mozzarella cheese. With this tour, you will learn the whole process of cheese making, you will see with your own eyes how to make mozzarella and if you are interested, you can become a cheese maker for the day by trying to create your own mozzarella with the help of professional cheese maker. This factory also dries and season more than 1000 caciocavallos a year (our famous seasoned cheese),It’s a very enjoyable and unique experience. The Gatronomic Tour will continue to the local pizza restaurant. The restaurant uses the mozzarella cheese from the farm we just visited and uses all fresh ingredients from their own garden
We will visit a family run restaurant where you will learn how to make pizza! This is a hands on experience and fun for all ages The pizza you will create with the help of the resident pizza chef will be your lunch. Your culinary tour will take you to the Masterclass of gelato. Your private driver will drive you down through some local villages like Schiazzano, Massa Lubrense and Marciano till you arrive at the gelato class.
A fully fledged school for tasting and demonstration of handmade gelato. What the Gelateria wants to offer his guests is a demonstration on the preparation of artisan gelato. The lesson takes about 45 minutes during in which the Gelateria will explain what ingredients and techniques to use to have a good handmade gelato. At the end of the demonstration, participants will be invited to taste the freshly made gelato and will also be able to choose between the various flavors of daily production in the exhibition window. Amazing Food Tour (The only review you have to read)
Vittorio was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. He was very responsive to emails and tailored the transportation to our needs. We for sure know that we had the absolute best tour guide they had available. His name is Aronne and he was GREAT!! He was fun, entertaining, funny, professional, and knowledgeable. We were sad when the tour ended because we had such a great day, we did not want it to end. This tour is the best way to experience the culture of Sorrento. Aronne went above & beyond to make sure we had the perfect day. He is a true master of his craft and we appreciate the experience he gave us, which we will never forget.

The Best food tour Sorrento
We used the Rosato Private Tour last summer for two private tours in Sorrento. We chose the Amalfi Coast tour and the Sorrento Food Tour. We were delighted! Never had such a great gastronomic experience. A day among olive trees, lemons, views, wine and excellent food. A tour recommended for everyone.
