Path of Gods

When you arrive in the town of Amalfi, your private driver will stop for 1 hour so you can explore the dainty town, that is surrounded by charismatic cliffs and coastal scenery, Amalfi is the main town of the Amalfi Coast, it sits at the end of Monte Cerreto. When you walk in to the main square Piazza Duomo, you will see the eye catching cathedral of St Andrew, there is also a museum of handmade paper you could choose to visit the Museo della Carta where they produce the Amalfi paper the Bambagina, appreciated by artists around the world for its thick, soft, elegant paper. As you stroll along the main st passing the endless Gelato shop with incredible flavours enticing you in, you can enjoy your gelato taking in the view of the waterfront, you could also visit the ancient dockyards.
Your private tour will continue towards Bomerano village, your personal driver will drop you off for your hike along the amazing Path of Gods and will be waiting for you at the main square in Nocelle Village where your hike will end. You will probably have worked up an appetite by the time you reach the square and if you wish your private driver can take take you to a well known local family run restaurant for lunch. After lunch your driver will head to Positano.
Positano is the most characteristic romantic village of the Amalfi Coast with its scenic landscapes. Your driver will take you to the core of Positano, where you can saunter through the tapering lane passing by the fashionable boutiques, cafes and restaurants leading to the main beach, Positano has been a location for several movies included the Talented Mr Ripley and many more famous movies. You will also find many shops selling handmade sandals, linen and colourful ceramics. The beautiful dome with Majolica tiles you will see belongs to the Santa Maria Assunta church, is worth a visit just to see the the thirteenth century Byzantine icon of the black Madonna. After your stroll in Positano, your personal driver will take you back to Sorrento.

This is the 2nd time in 3 years that we visited Italy and Vittorio took us for Olive oil tasting and a cooking class with a family. We had such a fantastic time. We felt like we were part of the family and enjoyed the food, company and wine! Vittorio is a fabulous guide...so personable and fun! We plan on coming back again!!
