Herculaneum is at the feet of Mount Vesuvius and is also known as Ercolano Herculaneum is known throughout the world for the remains of its Roman city buried, together with Pompeii, under the pumice & ashes provoked by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 A.D. This Roman town was originally discovered when a well was being dug in the 18th Century at a depth of 50 – 60 feet below the surface. Initially a series of shafts and tunnels were dug to strip the site of any saleable valuables by robbers. However, between 1749 to 1765 Herculaneum was explored on a more scientific basis for the Bourbon Kings of Naples and the Two Sicilies.
Positano is very well known for Linen, Handmade Sandals & Ceramics. In the heart of Positano, you can stroll through the narrow streets to the main beach passing by stylish boutiques, outdoor cafes and restaurants. Positano is very famous known as the vertical village, Its the jewel of the Amalfi Coast, with its breathtaking landscapes.
On a plaque that welcomes tourists to Amalfi there is a famous phrase written by Tuscan writer Renato Fucini which best describes the Amalfi town - “ Il giorno del giudizio, per gli Amalfitani che andranno in paradise, sará un giorno come tutti gli altri” “The day of judgment, for Amalfitans that go to Heaven will be a day like any other” The main town of the Amalfi Coast lies at the mouth of a deep ravine, at the foot of Monte Cerreto surrounded by dramatic cliffs and coastal scenery. You can take a relaxing walk in the main Square Pizza Duomo and visit the beautiful cathedral of St Andrew, Museo della Carta (Museum of handmade paper), the ancient dockyards, or simply try a delicious gelato and admire the view of the waterfront.

This is the 2nd time in 3 years that we visited Italy and Vittorio took us for Olive oil tasting and a cooking class with a family. We had such a fantastic time. We felt like we were part of the family and enjoyed the food, company and wine! Vittorio is a fabulous guide...so personable and fun! We plan on coming back again!!
